Skydive cancellation policy
Bookings online or by telephone is considered a firm booking and so a 24-hour cancellation notice is required. If the weather conditions are not suitable for skydiving then we will offer you alternative times and days. If these times don’t suit you then please let us know.
24 Hour Policy
We ask that if you have to cancel or postpone your jump, please let us know 24 hours before you are due to jump with us. This enables us to find a more suitable time for you to jump with us, and also opens up the booking should anyone else like to jump at that time.
Should the weather be unsuitable for jumping on the day, we will attempt to find another suitable time to complete your skydive. If you have prepaid for your skydive and you are not able to jump due to weather cancellations made by our team, we will provide you with a full refund.
18,500 ft / High Altitudes
Going up to 18,500 ft is subject to operational requirements. Sometimes these are out of our control such as weather conditions. If the conditions aren't suitable, we may not be able to reach thesehigh altitudes.
Vouchers / Special Promotions
Gift Vouchers are valid for 6 months from date of purchase. Gift vouchers are completely non-refundable but they are transferrable to another person. Gift vouchers that are due to expire, can be extended for up to 3 months at a time for a small fee. Go to our Gift Voucher page to extend your voucher.
Pricing and GST
Prices are in New Zealand Dollars and include 15% GST (Goods and Service Tax). We do not accept payment in any other currency. Your card issuer may apply charges for currency conversion. These charges are applied by your card issuer, we accept no responsibility for these. We reserve the right to change our prices at any time. We will not change the price of a Skydive or order you have already made without prior notification. This may only happen in the unlikely event that the price has been displayed incorrectly. In this instance, we reserve the right to withdraw your order and offer at the correct price. Any unlikely occurrence will be dealt with the company discretion.
We accept many types of payment including Visa, Mastercard, AliPay and WeChatPay. To pay by Credit Card select the card type and fill in your card details; card number, expiry date and card holders full name. By giving us your Credit Card details you agree for us to take full payment from your credit card. Some credit cards may incur a 1.5% surcharge.
Shopping online is safe with us. Your credit card details do not get processed or transmitted through or via our website; all transactions are processed through a secure payment service provider. Your credit card details are not held by us and cannot be accessed by our staff. Credit card issuers usually cover their customersagainst fraud for online transactions. Check with your card issuer for details.
DVD & Photo Policy
In the event that your video or photos malfunction, you will have the option to not purchase, and you will not be charged for it. However, should you choose to jump again then you must pay the full cost to repeat the tandem jump and for the recording. After you have left our premises, Taupo Tandem Skydiving take no responsibility if the item is stolen, misplaced or damaged.
We do not accept liability for any costs or expenses incurred if we have to postpone your jump, where the reason for the postponement is beyond our control.
Skydiving is an adventure sport and participation in such sports necessarily involves a risk of injury or death regardless of the standard of training, supervision and equipment employed.
"By taking part in parachuting activities I voluntarily accept all the risks inherent in the sport and I agree for myself and my personal representatives to indemnify and hold harmless Taupo Tandem Skydiving against any claim or claims whether on my own account or from third parties arising out of any accident or incident resulting in any loss or damage (including bodily injury and death)."
